Catalina Island Support

By participating in either the Catalina Island Conservancy Marathon or the Catalina Island Conservancy Half Marathon, you will also be supporting the work of the Catalina Island Conservancy, a non-profit conservation organization working to keep Catalina Wildlands wild.

The Conservancy is a leader in conservation and education programs that protect, restore, and promote the sustainable use of natural resources for present and future generations. Their commitment to accessibility allows active recreation on the easiest to visit Channel Island.

Some exciting successes of the Conservancy in recent years include the expansion and enhancement of the trail system which includes 27 miles of new and enhanced trails and 8 new restrooms among the Island's 165 miles of recreational roads and trails, the resurgence of the Catalina Island Fox from near extinction to a population of over 2047, the removal of damaging invasive plants and ongoing native habitat restoration, and keeping the iconic bison at the ideal herd size.

See below for how you can get involved.

A portion of your registration fee for this event entitles you to the benefits of Conservancy membership at the E-Pal MEMBERSHIP level, which includes a complimentary subscription to the Conservancy's online e-newsletter and the annual mailing of the Conservancy Times.

Plus, all expenses associated with your  participation in this charitable race may be fully tax deductible. Click here to learn how.
